LoC violence: India passes resolution against Pakistan in Lok Sabha.
New Delhi: The Lok Sabha on Wednesday passed a resolution
condemning attacks by Pakistan Army at the Line of Control (LoC) and
reiterating that Jammu and Kashmir is an integral part of India.
The resolution comes a day after Pakistan's National Assembly passed a
resolution accusing Indian troops of "unprovoked aggression" on the LoC
and extending support to the "struggle" of the Kashmiri people on
Tuesday.
"Jammu and Kashmir, including parts forcibly and illegally occupied by
Pakistan, is an integral part of India," the resolution read.
CNN IBN reported that while condemning the ceasefire violations by
Pakistan, Lok Sabha Speaker Meira Kumar said, "We hope Pakistan will
abide by the ceasefire commitment on the LoC and international border in
letter and spirit.
"
"India holds the sanctity of the border and calls upon Pakistan to
respect the border. India is not a threat to Pakistan, it is the
terrorists who are a threat. There there should not be any doubt that it
was Pakistan army involved in killing of jawans in Poonch at the LoC.
