Lok Sabha passes resolution condemning attacks by Pakistan.
In a tit-for-tat move, the Lok Sabha on Wednesday passed a resolution condemning attacks on India by Pakistan.

Lok Sabha Speaker Meira Kumar said, "Pakistan must not take India's patience for granted… J&K (Jammu & Kashmir), including parts forcibly and illegally occupied by Pakistan, is part of India."

The Lok Sabha asserted the entire state of Jammu and Kashmir, including the territory under illegal occupation of Pakistan, "is, and shall always be, an integral part of India".

On Tuesday, Pakistan's National Assembly had passed a unanimous resolution condemning what it called "unprovoked aggression by Indian military forces" at the Line of Control in Jammu and Kashmir.

On Wednesday, the issue was raised in both houses of Parliament, with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) saying the government should bring a resolution against Pakistan. "There is no partisanship on the Pakistan National Assembly resolution. This has to be condemned. India is planning to counter Pakistan's resolution with a similar resolution," Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kamal Nath told reporters outside Parliament.

In March, Pakistan had passed a resolution, following the hanging of Afzal Guru, convicted in an attack on Indian Parliament. At that point, India had rejected the resolution on Guru's execution, terming it interference in India's internal affairs.

It had told Pakistan to desist from such acts of support for extremist and terrorist elements.

Five Indian soldiers were killed when Pakistani troops intruded into the Poonch sector last week.
