PM, Sonia inaugurate Rs. 60 crore media centre in Delhi

Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi jointly inaugurated the information and broadcasting ministry's new Rs. 60 crore National Media Centre on Raisina Road in New Delhi on Saturday.

The National Media Centre in central Delhi has modern infrastructure and will serve as the communication hub of the government. It is likely to house the Press Information Bureau (PIB) as well. The swanky new media centre is equipped with state-of-the-art technology to facilitate enhanced media access to the government.

Coal Scam:Parliament adjouned till Thursday 

Both houses of parliament were adjourned till Thursday after being repeatedly disrupted over the BJP's demand for a statement by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on the missing files related to the allocation of coal blocks.

As soon as the Lok Sabha assembled at 11 a.m. Tuesday, the price rise issue was raised by the Left parties and the Janata Dal-United (JD-U) forcing Speaker Meira Kumar to adjourn the house for half-an-hour.
